How to add Buttons in WhatsApp Templates?

There are 2 types of WhatsApp Template Buttons: CTA and QuickReply.ai

Website CTA Button

Clicking the "Website" CTA button redirects users to a specific landing page or URL.

When you add the Website CTA Button, you are asked to type in the Website Button Text that the user sees.

By default, QuickReply tracks each and every link link on an individualised basis. Hence the Link Tracking is enabled by default. We highly recommend not to disable this as it results in tracking of link clicks and impact optimisations for future.

  • Link Tracking - ON (recommended)

    • In this type, we track all link clicks that the user does when the template is used in a broadcast/campaign.

    • The URL for the button is to be provided while sending the template to the user. Its not needed while we are applying for the template.

  • Link Tracking - OFF

    • If you plan to switch off the Link Tracking, you have to choose the URL Type.

      • Types of URL Types - Static / Dynamic

If you plan to use the same static URL for each user, you can choose this option. Remember to add UTM Parameters in the Static Links if you choose this option.

Call CTA Button

When the "Call" button is clicked, it triggers a phone call action on the user's smartphone dialer. To add this, just add the button, add the Call button text and add the destination phone number.

The phone number cannot be dynamic

QuickReply Button

When you wish to give pre-defined responses to user, you can choose this button. Usually, these are used along with chatbots to provide an automated and interactive engagement. To add this button, just add in template and define the Button Text.
