Use Cases

Message Types Supported

Limitations & Considerations

  • Risk of Misuse: Utility templates are intended for essential, transactional messages. Sending marketing or promotional content within a utility template can lead to Meta policy violations and potential blocking of your number.

  • No Multi-Card Support: Like the Standard Template, Utility Templates are for single message formats. They cannot support carousel-style multi-media presentations.

  • Pre-approval Requirement: Utility templates must be approved, but they are typically easier to get approved compared to marketing templates, as they contain essential customer-facing information.
