Archive Templates

Archiving a template allows businesses to hide outdated or unused WhatsApp templates from the active list without permanently deleting them. This helps keep the workspace organized while retaining past templates for future reference.

How to Archive a Template in QuickReply

  • Navigate to the Templates dashboard on the QuickReply app.

  • Locate the template you want to archive.

  • Click the More Options (â‹®) button next to the template name.

  • Select Archive from the dropdown menu.

  • The template will now be moved to the Archived Templates section, making it inactive and unavailable for selection in broadcasts or automated flows.

Sync Templates

WhatsApp templates are managed via Meta (WhatsApp API). The Sync Templates feature ensures that all approved, rejected, or modified templates from the WhatsApp Business API are updated and reflected correctly within QuickReply.

How to Sync Templates in QuickReply

  • Go to the Templates dashboard

  • Click the More Options (â‹®) button next to the Create New Template button

  • Click the Sync with WhatsApp button. QuickReply will fetch the latest status of all templates from Meta’s WhatsApp API. Once completed, all updates, including newly approved or rejected templates, will be reflected in the dashboard.

Clone Templates

Cloning a template allows businesses to duplicate an existing WhatsApp template and make modifications without starting from scratch. This is useful when creating variations of a message with minor edits (e.g., different languages or personalization tweaks).

How to Clone a Template in QuickReply:

  1. In the Templates dashboard, find the template you want to duplicate.

  1. Click the More Options (â‹®) button next to the template and select Clone from the dropdown menu.

  1. A new template draft will be created, but you can edit the template name and category.

  1. It will contain the same text and media as the original since it's a cloned version, but editing is possible for these too.

  1. Modify the content as needed and submit it for approval.

Template ID

Each approved WhatsApp template is assigned a unique Template ID by Meta. This ID is used to track and reference templates within API calls, automation, and integrations.

Where to Find the Template ID in QuickReply:

  • Open the Templates section.

  • Locate the template you need the ID for.

  • Click the More Options (â‹®) button next to the template.

  • Select the option to Copy Template ID
