Template Statuses
Every RCS template must be submitted for approval before it can be used. Once you finish building a template and submit it, you'll see a confirmation that the template has been submitted for approval — and from that point, the template moves through a review flow.
This page explains each status and what it means for your template.
Where to Check a Template's Status
Go to Templates > RCS tab. The template list shows a Status column for every template, alongside its RBM Agent, Category, and Type.
You can also click on any template to open its Details panel, which shows the Status, Category, Last Updated timestamp, and Template ID, along with a live preview of the message.

Statuses
Pending
The template has been submitted and is awaiting review. While a template is Pending:
It cannot be used in a broadcast yet.
No edits are needed from your side — just wait for the review to complete.
Approved
The template has passed review and is ready to use. Approved templates:
Can be selected when creating an RCS Broadcast.
Can be cloned from the Details panel to create variations without starting from scratch.
Have a Template ID (visible in the Details panel) that can be used to reference the template.
Rejected
The template did not pass review. A Rejected template cannot be used in broadcasts.
If your template is rejected, review its content against your RBM Agent's approved use case — for example, promotional content submitted under a Transactional or OTP agent will not be approved. You can clone the template, adjust the content, and resubmit.
