# Google Sheet Integration in AI Builder

Connect Google Sheets with QuickReply to store or update data collected through your AI Builder bots.

With the Update Google Sheet node, you can select a connected spreadsheet, map bot data to its columns, and choose whether to update an existing row or add a new row.

### Before you start

Make sure:

* The spreadsheet you want to use already exists in Google Drive.
* You have access to the Google account you want to connect.
* The spreadsheet has been connected to QuickReply from Settings → Integrations → Google Spreadsheet → Connected Files.
* The Sheet Tab you want to use has a header row.

After mapping the required columns, click Save & Next.

Note: The selected Sheet Tab must have a header row so that QuickReply can identify the columns available for mapping.

### 3. Duplicate Handling

Choose what should happen when the bot sends data that already exists in the Google Sheet.

#### Update existing row

Select Update existing row to update an existing record.

You must select a Key column to identify the row that should be updated.

For example, if Phone uniquely identifies a customer, select Phone as the Key column.

![](https://1325107618-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FePPO97Ju334NhhCzTEZP%2Fuploads%2Fn7Yyeos7QrUtiy937PHT%2Funknown.png?alt=media\&token=7221585a-0e60-4e4f-b5cc-3f8acfc24b45)

#### Always add new row

Select Always add new row when every bot interaction should create a new row.

A Key column is not required for this option.

![](https://1325107618-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FePPO97Ju334NhhCzTEZP%2Fuploads%2FTSxC7gaS17HEVyQ734uK%2Funknown.png?alt=media\&token=bd77ffd1-d71c-4dd6-a082-c82b1fdba708)

Once saved, the Update Google Sheet node appears in your AI Builder bot with the selected Google Sheet and Sheet Tab.

![](https://1325107618-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FePPO97Ju334NhhCzTEZP%2Fuploads%2FNcvwBxvqE3OlysFE0IUT%2Funknown.png?alt=media\&token=9d8a17f5-0dbf-4ac8-8cc6-0bb99e6ea864)

When the bot reaches this node, the configured data is added to or updated in the selected Google Sheet based on your duplicate handling settings.
