# Shopify Store Catalog Connection

Connects a Shopify store's product list to a Meta Catalog through a **two-step configuration** flow. Once connected, product data is re-synced from Shopify daily.

#### Prerequisites

* Active Shopify integration on the account
* Meta Catalog assigned to the WhatsApp channel, with the vertical set to Commerce

### Connection Flow

Navigate to Settings → Channels → WhatsApp → Catalog and click Connect Now to open the Connect Shopify Catalog modal.

#### Step 1: Settings

Complete the configuration fields, then click Continue.

⚠️ Warning: Continue remains disabled until all required fields are filled: Meta Catalog Id, Availability, and at least one Show catalog on placement.

**Choose Meta Catalog Id**

Required. Select the Meta Catalog to publish products to. To confirm which catalog an ID corresponds to, paste the Catalog ID into[ Meta Commerce Manager](https://business.facebook.com/commerce).

**Availability**

Required. Determines how product stock status is applied during sync.

| Option                     | Behavior                                                  |
| -------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| Track Inventory            | Syncs and maintains stock levels based on store inventory |
| Do not Track Inventory     | Marks all products as available regardless of inventory   |
| Skip Out of Stock Products | Excludes out-of-stock products from the catalog           |

**Google Product Category**

Optional. Assigns a Google product taxonomy category to synced products.

**Facebook Product Category**

Optional. Assigns a Facebook product taxonomy category to synced products.

**Show catalog on**

Required, at least one option.

| Option      | Behavior                                              |
| ----------- | ----------------------------------------------------- |
| Profile     | Displays the catalog on the WhatsApp Business profile |
| Add to cart | Allows products to be added to a cart before ordering |

Both options can be selected.

#### Step 2: Select Product

Lists all products in the Shopify store with product name, SKU, price, and stock status. A search field is available for locating specific products.

All products are selected for sync by default. Deselect any product to exclude it from the sync. An excluded-item counter below the list reflects the current selection.

Click Save & Connect Now to start the sync.

⚠️ Warning: Save & Connect Now requires at least one product to remain selected.

### Connection States

The Catalog tab reflects three states during and after connection.

| State                  | Indicator                                           | Description                                                                       |
| ---------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Ready to connect       | No badge; Connect Now button shown                  | Shopify integration detected, catalog not yet connected                           |
| Connection in progress | Connection in progress badge with loading indicator | Initial connection is processing; duration varies and occasional delays can occur |
| Catalog connected      | Catalog Connected badge                             | Sync complete; product list, Catalog ID, and last synced timestamp are shown      |

You are notified once the initial connection completes.

### After Connection

Once the catalog is connected:

* The Catalog tab displays the synced product count, Catalog ID, and last synced timestamp
* Products take 15–20 minutes to appear in the WhatsApp catalog while Meta processes and publishes them
* Product data is re-synced from Shopify to Meta daily at 3:00 AM

#### Updating Configuration

Click Settings at the top right of the Catalog card to reopen the configuration flow. Configuration fields and the product exclusion list can both be modified.

ℹ️ Note: The Meta Catalog ID is set at connection time and is not modified through Settings.

⚠️ Warning: Disconnecting a Meta Catalog is not available in the platform interface. Submit a disconnection request to your customer success representative.
