# How to delete a User Permanently from QuickReply.ai?

### Open the Search Function

Click on the search icon in the chat interface to begin searching for a user.

### Search for a User

Type the customer’s name, phone number, or email address into the search field to locate the specific user you want to find. Once entered, select the matching result to open that user’s conversation.

#### Open User Options

To delete a user, go to the conversation of that user and click on the three-dot menu (more options) associated with the user.

### Confirm User Deletion

Select the “Delete user” option. When the confirmation prompt appears, review the warning: deleting a user will permanently remove their chat history, and their chats will no longer be visible in your chat list. The user will only reappear if they re-engage or if you send them a template message, but past chat history will remain permanently deleted.<br>

Once you confirm, the user and their chat history are deleted successfully.

This helps you meet data retention, GDPR, and other privacy requirements when user data must be removed.
